NOTE: The 7:00pm performance will not include Ignite and Enchant (3-6th grade) students. If you would like to see a student in either of those ensembles, please select the 3:00pm performance. The 7-12th graders will perform in both performances.
On April 11, the South Loudoun Youth Chorale invites you to experience Reflections — a concert designed to celebrate the many identities, cultures, and stories that make up our community.
Through music, movement, visual art, and storytelling, this immersive performance transforms the concert space into a living mosaic of voices. From the moment you enter the lobby to the final note on stage, every element of the evening has been thoughtfully designed to reflect who we are — our cultures, traditions, languages, passions, and the values that connect us.
In preparation for this concert, SLYC singers participated in a community survey sharing pieces of their personal stories — from family heritage and faith traditions to hobbies, languages, and the music that feels like home. Those reflections helped shape the repertoire and artistic vision for this performance.
Featuring singers from grades 3–12, the program explores three themes:
- Celebrating Our Differences
- When Differences Collide
- Better Together
Along the way, audiences will experience music from cultures around the world, student artwork and storytelling, collaborative dance elements, and a concert environment designed to surround the audience with sound and light.
Reflections is more than a concert — it is a celebration of community and a reminder that when every voice is welcomed, our shared song becomes stronger and more beautiful.
Join us as we celebrate the many voices that make up the South Loudoun community.
